Archbishop Martin, born Valeriy Ivanovich Lapkovskiy on April 27, 1945, in Dagestan, is a clergyman of non-canonical Orthodoxy and currently serves as the Archbishop of Sevastopol and Southern Russia. He was previously part of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) in various roles from 1991 to 2016. He was also involved in the human rights movement in the USSR during the 1970s and 1980s.
