Tarasov specialized in the field of X-ray analysis and gas-dynamic experiments related to nuclear weapons. After his military service, he worked at various research institutions and made significant contributions to the Soviet atomic project. He passed away in Arzamas-16 and is remembered for his scientific achievements.
