Aitbay Botpaiuly Jumagulov, born in 1975 in Karakuduk, is a Kazakh poet and academic specializing in philology. He graduated from A. Bokeikhan School and later from Karaganda State University. He began his teaching career at a secondary school before moving to Kazakhstan-Russia Modern University. Since 2001, he has been a senior lecturer at his alma mater's Department of Kazakh Literature. In 2007, he earned his candidacy degree under the supervision of academician Rymgali Nurgali. He also leads the 'Arka' school of akyn poets in Karaganda’s Cultural Department.
