Епифан Дмитриевич Тарасов (May 1, 1909 - September 5, 2008) was a Soviet wrestler and a notable figure in sambo, Greco-Roman wrestling, and freestyle wrestling. He was a participant in World War II and held the rank of sergeant. Tatarov was recognized as a Master of Sports in multiple wrestling disciplines and was awarded the title of Honored Master of Sports of the USSR in 1945. Later, he became an Honored Coach of the USSR in 1957 and achieved the distinction of All-Union category referee in 1950 and 1970, becoming an honorary referee in 1979.
