He participated in major international checkers tournaments but faced defeats. Later, he joined the Wiener Sport-Club and excelled in fencing, becoming a champion and leading a young team to significant victories, securing numerous national titles. Despite health issues affecting his athletic career, he transitioned into coaching. His life ended tragically when he perished in a house fire.
