Grigory Yakovlevich Frank (June 29, 1935 – August 9, 2009) was a sound engineer and television presenter at the Leningrad Television Studio (Channel 5). He was a professor, academician of the World Academy of Sciences, and founder of the sound engineering department at SPbGIKiT. A Cannes Film Festival laureate, he received the Golden Nymph award in Monte Carlo and participated in creating over 3000 television programs and films, many of which received viewer acclaim. Frank authored 16 publications on various aspects of sound engineering and was a respected cultural figure in Russia.
