Parviz Shahidi is an Iranian translator born on March 5, 1936, in Mashhad. He completed his primary and secondary education in Mashhad and earned a bachelor's degree in French language and literature from the University of Tehran, along with a master's degree in comparative literature from the Sorbonne in France. After living in France for ten years, he returned to Iran in 1984. Following his retirement from Bank Melli, he began his translation career, producing over 90 translated works.
