Manohar Gopalkrishna Parrikar (born December 13, 1955) is an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party. He currently serves as the Minister of Defence of India since November 9, 2014. Prior to this role, he was the Chief Minister of Goa from March 2012 to November 2014, and also held the position from 2000 to 2005. Parrikar is known for his leadership and governance skills within Indian politics.
