David Rodríguez de la Peña is a Mexican pianist, composer, and music educator born on January 4, 1966, in Mexico City. He graduated from the National Conservatory under Rosa María Delsordo and studied piano at the University of Cincinnati. He began his teaching career in the USA while performing in various cities. He led the Conservatory in Tijuana from 1999 to 2005 and was a principal pianist with the Chamber Orchestra of Baja California. He served as director of the National Conservatory of Mexico from 2012 to 2016.
