Matfej, born Gennadij Anatoljevič Samknulov on February 15, 1971, in Slaŭharad, is a Belarusian cleric within the Russian Orthodox Church. He was appointed as the Bishop of Achtubinsk and Jenotajevsk on October 11, 2023. He was ordained a deacon in 1997, later became a priest, and took monastic vows under the name Matfej in 1998. His education includes studies at various theological institutions. He has taught dogmatics and held several church positions, including head of the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God.
