Alexey Ilyich Bezatossov (March 29, 1923 – 2004) was a Soviet military leader, holding the rank of Colonel General since April 30, 1982. He served in the Red Army starting June 21, 1941, and participated in World War II and the Soviet-Japanese War. His career included various positions in military districts and general staff roles, culminating in his work as Deputy Chief of Civil Defense. He played a significant role in the Chernobyl disaster response in 1986. Bezatossov lived in Moscow and was buried at Troekurovsky Cemetery.
