Məmməd Həsən oğlu Əsgərov was an Azerbaijani politician born on December 25, 1918, in the Nakhchivan District. He served as the Minister of Agriculture of the Azerbaijan SSR from 1977 to 1985. His political career included roles as the first secretary of the Shamkir and Aghjabadi District Committees of the Azerbaijan Communist Party, as well as the deputy minister of light industry. He also held the position of chairman of the Nakhchivan MSSR Council of Ministers and the chairman of the Executive Committee of the Barda District Workers' Deputies Soviet. He passed away on July 27, 1988, in Baku.
