Arthashes Eduardovych Babayev (born January 3, 1946, Kyiv, Ukraine) is a specialist in mechanics and a Doctor of Technical Sciences (1989). He graduated from Kyiv University in 1969 and has worked at the Institute of Mechanics of NASU since 1971 in various capacities. His research focuses on unsteady aerohydroelasticity, electropolymer mechanics, and the propagation and diffraction of waves in ideal or viscous fluids and elastic media. He has been a professor at the National Aviation University since 2000.
