Karil Hamssi is a contemporary Egyptian visual artist and graphic designer born on October 16, 1968, in Cairo. She graduated from Helwan University with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts in 1991. Since 1989, she has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Egypt and abroad, including a solo exhibition in London in 2016. She is a member of Cairo's Syndicate of Fine Artists and the Atelier Group, representing Egypt at international art events.
