Pyotr Klimentyevich Shkvarkin (July 12, 1906 - July 6, 2004) was a Soviet and Ukrainian geneticist, breeder, and researcher in the field of plant mutation processes. He served as a teacher and organizer of genetic science, earning his Candidate of Biological Sciences degree in 1936 and a Doctor of Biological Sciences in 1966. He became a professor in 1968 and authored 140 scientific works, including two monographs.
