Yevhen Sur is a Ukrainian bridge engineer, businessman, philanthropist, and activist for the Ukrainian language. Born on September 25, 1958, in Novovolynsk, he is known as the founder and co-owner of the largest bridge construction company in the Russian Federation, 'MOST' (1991-2015). Sur's company constructed the world's largest cable-stayed bridge, the Russky Island Bridge, in Russia between 2008 and 2012. He currently resides in Austria and is an honorary citizen of the city of Konotop.
