Alexander Konstantinovich Martynov (1913-1989) was a notable Erzya poet and writer from Russia, born in Saratov. He studied at the Petrovsk Technical School and published several works starting in 1931. Throughout his career, he contributed to various literary publications and authored numerous poems and novels, being recognized as a significant figure in Erzya literature. He received the title of Honored Poet of Mordovia in 1973. His notable works include 'Suran Tolt' and 'Children of Their Fathers' among others.
