Vera Polykarpovna Kivalkina (September 25, 1912 - June 28, 1990) was a Soviet microbiologist known for her specialization in the properties of propolis. She achieved the title of Doctor of Biological Sciences and was a candidate of Veterinary Sciences. From 1969 to 1987, she served as the head of the Department of Microbiology, Virology, and Immunology at Kazan State Academy of Veterinary Medicine. She was recognized as an honored scientist of the Tatar ASSR in 1973.
