Boris Mikhailovich Arpentyev (April 28, 1938 – January 7, 2010) was a prominent scientist in the field of assembly processes and quality in mechanical engineering, also serving as a professor and Doctor of Technical Sciences. He headed the Department of Technology and Quality Management in Mechanical Engineering at the Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogical Academy from 1989 to 2008. Renowned for his work on thermal impact assembly and quality control, he authored over 150 scientific papers and held 45 patents and invention certificates. He mentored four Doctors and fifteen Candidates of Technical Sciences.
