Хусин Ханахович Гашоков (1913–1983) was a Circassian poet and writer born in the village of Habes. He began his literary career in the 1930s and became a member of the USSR Writers' Union in 1935. During World War II, he served in the 343rd Rifle Division and participated in numerous battles. After the war, he worked as an editor and led the regional writers' organization. Gashokov authored several collections of poetry and prose, and streets in Habes and Adyge-Khabl are named after him.
