Misha Davoyan was an Armenian geographer, geomorphologist, and hydrologist born on February 25, 1925, in Tbilisi, then part of the Soviet Union. He earned the title of Candidate of Geographical Sciences and became an associate professor at the Leninakan Pedagogical Institute in 1971. A participant in the Great Patriotic War, he received several honors including the Order of the Badge of Honor in 1981, and medals for his service in the liberation of Budapest and by the USSR Geographical Society. He authored 120 scientific and methodological articles.
