Yakov Nikolaevich Zagibalov (1911-1980) was a leading expert in the geology of mica deposits, significantly contributing to the mica industry in Siberia. He provided the first scientific description of the Emelzhak group of deposits in the Aldan phlogopite province in 1942. As chief geologist at 'Mamslyuda', he organized extensive geological studies and developed resources.
