Grigory Nikolaevich Cherkasov (February 24, 1948 – September 30, 2017) was a Soviet and Russian scientist specializing in soil-conservation agriculture. He held a doctorate in agricultural sciences and was a professor. Cherkasov was awarded the State prize of the Russian Federation for his contributions to science and technology. In 2007 he became a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, which integrated into the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2014, making him a corresponding member of the latter.
