He owned radio stations 'Govorit Moskva' and 'Sport FM', and was a major shareholder of the TV channel 'Stolitsa'. From 2011 to 2014, he served as vice-governor of Saint Petersburg, overseeing culture, science, sports, education, and media. He was acting rector of the Saint Petersburg State Academy of Art and Industry from May 13, 2015, to March 17, 2017.
