Kozhogeldi Kuluyev is a Kyrgyz poet, playwright, and translator, born on February 18, 1960, in Kogat village, Kyrgyzstan. He has been recognized as the People's Poet of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2016. Kuluyev's career began in 1977, and he has held various editorial roles in national publications. He wrote his first works in 1976 and gained prominence through several awards, including a gold medal from TURKSOY. His play, 'Who Will Lift the North?', was staged at the Osh Kyrgyz Drama Theater. He is known for translating works of notable Russian and other poets into Kyrgyz.
