Galina Vasilievna Shpatakovskaya (born December 26, 1946) is a Russian physicist and recipient of the I. E. Tamm Prize from the Russian Academy of Sciences (1998). She was a student and long-time collaborator of David Abramovich Kirznits. She obtained her Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences degree in 1992, focusing on 'Quasiclassical Approximations in Plasma Physics and Solid-State Problems.' Currently, she works as a leading researcher at the Institute of Mathematical Modeling of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
