Ivan Nazarovich Kudin (born May 3, 1923, New Lozatovka, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukraine - died November 24, 1983, Kyiv) was a WWII participant and a Soviet hero. His family relocated to Pavlodar region at the war's onset, where he worked as an accountant. Drafted in May 1943, he engaged in battles for various cities and demonstrated bravery at Borisov, where he destroyed enemy positions and led his platoon across the Berezina river under fire. He was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union on March 24, 1945, for his valor.
