Evgeny Mikhailovich Molchanov (December 20, 1924 - July 6, 1943) was a Soviet soldier serving as a private and deputy commander of a machine gun squad in the 223rd Guards Rifle Regiment. He was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for his bravery during World War II, as he made the ultimate sacrifice in battle in the village of Krutoy Log in the Kursk region.
