Ashot Petrosyan (April 27, 1910 - July 13, 1978) was an Armenian composer, musicologist, and conductor. Born in Mari, Turkestan, Russian Empire, he made significant contributions to music in the Uzbek SSR. He was recognized as an Honored Artist of the Uzbek SSR in 1950 and became a professor in 1970. Petrosyan's career was marked by his influence in the development of music education and composition in the region.
