Alexander Guriyevich Fomin (March 22, 1958 – December 10, 2020) was a Soviet and Russian military leader who held the rank of major general. He was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation in 2001. Fomin was a member of the Coordinating Council of the Association of Special Forces Officers of the GRU. His career and contributions to the military were significant during his service.
