Evgeny Alexandrovich Fomin (March 28, 1915 – October 19, 1997) was a participant in the Great Patriotic War, serving as the commander of a squadron in the 166th Guards Assault Aviation Regiment of the 10th Guards Assault Aviation Division, 2nd Air Army, 1st Ukrainian Front. He held the rank of Guard Captain and was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. Fomin was a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1943 and retired with the rank of Colonel.
