Anatoly Ivanovich Chistousov was a Russian Orthodox priest and military officer who served as the rector of the Michael Archangel Church in Grozny. He was also the dean of Orthodox churches in Chechnya from 1995 to 1996. Chistousov was abducted by Chechen terrorists on January 29, 1996, and killed on February 14, 1996, in a prisoner camp. His death became public information only on April 26, 2000, when documents confirming it were obtained by the Russian Federal Security Service.
