A member of the Aydabol branch of the Suindyk clan of the Argin tribe, he graduated from the Almaty State Medical Institute in 1950 and later completed his postgraduate studies. He served as an assistant, associate professor, and then professor at his alma mater, eventually becoming the head of his department until his passing. His research focused on the history of medicine and social hygiene in Kazakhstan.
