Edward Mikhailovich Shcherbachev (born December 8, 1936) is a Soviet and Russian flutist. He graduated from the Sverdlovsk Conservatory school and served in military brass bands from 1950 to 1957. He worked in the Sverdlovsk Theatre of Opera and Ballet and the Philharmonic until 1961. After studying at the Moscow Conservatory until 1966, he became a soloist with the Leningrad Theatre of Opera and Ballet between 1970 and 1988. He has recorded several pieces, including Mozart's concertos with the Moscow Philharmonic.
