Sergey Sergeyevich Khiparisev (December 14, 1924 - 1992) was a Soviet scientist specializing in metallurgy and chemistry. He made significant contributions to the development of Soviet powder metallurgy. A Doctor of Technical Sciences and professor, Khiparisev developed methods for producing dispersion-hardened alloys of titanium, zirconium, niobium, tantalum, and molybdenum. He was a laureate of the USSR State Prize in 1977 and served as the rector of the Moscow Institute of Chemical Technology (MITHT) from 1976 to 1989.
