Stanislav Andreyevich Sbitnev (March 18, 1918 – August 26, 2002) was a Soviet and Russian scientist specializing in information and library activities. He founded the Kemerovo library school and was a pioneer in the automation of information search processes. Notable for his contributions in the 1960s, he developed the automated information-search system 'Kvantor', earning a gold medal at the VDNH USSR. A respected educator, he significantly influenced the field of library science and information in Russia and the post-Soviet states.
