Vasily Stratonovich Korobchenko was a Soviet military leader and participant in the Great Patriotic War, born on December 30, 1903, in Vilkomir, now Ukmergė in Lithuania. He rose to the rank of general of artillery in 1960 and had a significant military career throughout his life. Korobchenko passed away on January 6, 1990, in Leningrad.
