Yuri Andreyevich Kaverin, born on February 7, 1939, in Zlatoust, Chelyabinsk Oblast, is a prominent Soviet and Russian scientist and engineer in rocket engineering. He contributed to the development of strategic missile systems for the Soviet Navy's submarines at the V.P. Makeyev GRTS. He obtained a Doctorate in Technical Sciences in 2005 and has served as a professor at Chelyabinsk State University. He is a laureate of the USSR State Prize (1989) and has received numerous awards, including the Order of the Badge of Honour in 1975. Kaverin has authored over 50 scientific works.
