Nikolai Ignatievich Zhemerikin (1935–1993) was a Soviet computer designer and a laureate of the State Prize of the USSR. He was born on March 15, 1935, in the village of Valsy, Ryazan Oblast. Graduating from the Leningrad Military Mechanical Institute in 1958, he worked at the special design department of ZEMZ, later serving as head of the NTO and deputy chief engineer. He contributed to the development of the supercomputer 'Elbrus-1' and was awarded the State Prize in 1987, along with several honors for his labor.
