Ekaterina Semyonovna Chernenko (December 16, 1917 – May 18, 2006) was a Russian biologist and plant breeder. She earned a doctoral degree in agricultural sciences. Chernenko was the daughter of Semen Fyodorovich Chernenko, a disciple of I. V. Michurin, and married to scientist Valentin Ivanovich Budagovsky. Her work contributed significantly to the fields of biology and agriculture, particularly in breeding practices.
