İbadulla Əliağa oğlu Ağayev, born on January 17, 1950, in Muğan Gəncəli, is an Azerbaijani scientist and a prominent figure in the field of epidemiology. He served as the chief epidemiologist for the Ministry of Health from 1992 to 2020, and has held professorship since 1992. He has been recognized as a Honored Teacher and Honored Scientist in Azerbaijan. Additionally, he is a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the International Academy of Ecoenergy, and the New Azerbaijan Party, and presides over the Society of Epidemiologists, Microbiologists, and Parasitologists of Azerbaijan.
