Mikhail Mikhailovich Gorbov (1940–2001) was a Russian scientist, professor, and esteemed inventor. He graduated from Tomsk Polytechnic Institute as an electrical engineer in 1962. He worked at OKBA (NPO Khimavtomatika) as a chief designer from 1962 to 1990, authoring 36 inventions and obtaining 27 patents. He defended his doctoral thesis in 1990, becoming a professor in 1992. He published over 50 scientific papers, co-authoring several monographs. His contributions to analytical control devices were significant, earning him awards including the Order of the Badge of Honor.
