Imam Sheikh Muhammad Khalil Al-Khatib Al-Nidi, known as the Poet of the Prophet, was an Egyptian poet born on March 9, 1909, in Nida, Sohag Governorate. He memorized the Quran at seven, and was educated at Al-Azhar University, where he earned his doctorate in Arabic in 1936. An accomplished poet, he composed notable works including a poem opposing Al-Busiri's 'Al-Burda.' Al-Khatib was recognized for his unique abilities, including lineage identification and prophetic insights. He died on February 21, 1986, at the age of 77.
