İsmail Göksel was a Turkish politician and military officer born on March 23, 1952, in Hacıabdullah, Niğde. He graduated from several military and law institutions, including the Military Academy and Ankara University Faculty of Law. Göksel served in various military roles, including as a military judge and prosecutor, and was a member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly representing Niğde. He was also involved in founding the Niğde Foundation and the 1972'ler Foundation. He passed away on July 31, 2018.
