Sergay Leonidovich Novikov (1951-2002) was a Russian poet from Crimea, born in Yalta. He studied at the pedagogical faculty of Crimea State University. An active member of the Crimean Writers' Union and various literary forums, he published poems in Ukrainian and Russian journals. Two poetry collections were released during his lifetime, while a selected works collection was published posthumously. Novikov's contributions to literature earned him the literary award named after A. P. Chekhov. He was married and had one daughter, Olga.
