Saeed Ghahari was an Iranian military commander born on March 25, 1952, in Asadabad, Hamadan. He served as a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps during the Iran-Iraq War and was the commander of the 3rd Hamzeh Division. He held multiple military positions including deputy commander of the Najaf Headquarters and was killed during a confrontation with the PJAK group on February 24, 2007. Some reports suggest he may also have died as a result of a helicopter crash.
