Траян Мартиноски was a Macedonian poet and essayist, born in 1932 in the village of Nereszi in what was then the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. He completed his secondary education in Struga and studied at the Faculty of Philology in Skopje. A member of the Writers' Association of Macedonia since 1989, he contributed to Macedonian literature until his death in 1999 in Ohrid. His notable works include poetry collections and essays that reflect his literary prowess.
