Mediha Demirkıran Ünal was a Turkish vocal artist born on March 1, 1926, in Kulu, Konya. She began her career after successfully passing a test to join Ankara Radio in 1951. A year later, she made her stage debut at the Ankara Esen Park Family Gazinosu. She furthered her career in Istanbul by performing at Kristal Gazinosu in 1953. Renowned for her renditions of Turkish folk and classical music, she passed away on March 6, 1988.
