Steinar Aabø (1930–2006) was a pioneer of community radio in Norway, best known as the editor of Mjøsradioen and Solradioen. He started Norway's first community radio station, Mjøsradioen, in 1981, quickly followed by a pirate radio operation. Aabø established Solradioen in 1984, which operated until 2004 due to health issues. His stations were renowned for their Christian profile, news, cultural programming, and youth content. A dedicated radio amateur, he held the call sign 'LA8XN' and was active in local radio initiatives in Telemark.
