Victor Vasilievich Burlaka (1930-1975) was a Soviet agronomist and corresponding member of VASKHNiL (1972). Born in the village of Seredovka in the Poltava Oblast, he graduated from Dnepropetrovsk Agricultural Institute in 1954. He served as the chief agronomist of Kamchatka MTS from 1954-1957 and later worked as a researcher and deputy director at the Far Eastern Research Institute of Agriculture from 1957-1971. He authored over 100 scientific papers and held the titles of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (1969) and Professor (1971).
